India....just the beginning

Just  to keep you all in the loop.  Scott and I are going to India.  For my whole life I have dreamed of India and have always known that I was way too chicken to travel there on my own, until now. (but i am not on my own)  We are traveling with an organization called Child of Mine, and are going to Northern India to help them build a second story on a school.  This all started as a dream of ours to travel and do stuff like this and has become a reality.  I know that sounds clique but it is totally true.  We have both dreamed of going away on short term missions since we met in high school.  The timing was not right since we got married because we were doing other frivolous things like having babies, hahaha, but now it seems like the time is ripe for us.  When it first started it felt like a mile away, but as we near 22 days from departure we can look back at all the ways God was nudging us towards this end.  The whole new way of looking at life has emerged.  A proverbial shifting of the gears, if you will.  So as we pack up our bags, try to think of anything we might need ( like toilet paper and baby wipes) I am thankful that God did not forget our longing to go.  He did not forget to send me.  He did not forget me.  He will never leave me nor forsake me, His love never ends.
